NEW BARREL
The black circle greyed
As I gazed
And the profound steadiness
I had foresworn
Gimballed like rye
In my too heady haze
And then cleared
Like cold lake water.
And I saw the bull
In all its majesty,
Black round and clear,
But somewhat thinner,
And fired with confidence
And scored an inner.
